Las Vegas: The City of Lights

Las Vegas: The City of Lights

Just before Christmas, I was lucky enough to visit the beautiful city of Las Vegas for the first time. We stayed at the Palazzo located right on the Strip, the perfect place to keep you busy for months. I couldn’t get enough of exploring the city and experiencing everything it had to offer! I want to see you THRIVE in this new decade. 👏🏻👏🏻 . It’s coming up in just one month! As 2020 approaches, one of my favorite poems comes to mind. (Want to find out what it is? Keep reading 😉) We’re constantly tempted to take the easy path, follow the crowd and brush off our dreams for a later date. I’m here to tell you that you do have permission to pursue your dreams! ✨ My new blog is officially up and running with the very first post up now. 🥳 And it’s ALL ABOUT thriving in 2020, along with Robert Frost’s famous poem “The Road Not Taken”. Click the link in my bio to read it now & get some inspiration for the upcoming decade! 🙌🏻
My biggest goal for 2020 is to be more intentional in my life. 💥 In business, in personal matters, in every area. Before saying yes to commit to something, from now on I’ll be asking myself “Will this make me feel excited, fulfilled or further my progress? And does this fit my vision and extend my voice?” If the answer to either of those questions is no, my answer will be no. 🤷🏼‍♀️ . This also applies to Instagram. It can be hard to stay consistent with posting and even harder to think up captions. More than a few times recently I’ve found myself quickly choosing a photo, throwing it up and tossing a caption up along with it. That doesn’t sound very intentional to me. It’s super important for me to connect with more of you, hear your stories and share my own so that you know who is showing up on your feed every day. Every post you see from me here on out is going to have meaning behind it, extend my voice and share a little piece of my story. 😊 With that I’ll definitely be looking for new connections, friends and opportunities of all kinds, so if you’ve been wanting to reach out to say hey, please do! 🙋🏼‍♀️
I WASN’T even mad about it..! 🤷🏼‍♀️ . On Friday night, we had a power outage in Huntsville that lasted all night. And honestly, I wasn’t even mad about it! Some people despise them (like my boyfriend @chad.pedz 😛 who was pissed at first ahha), but to me power outages remind me of all things cozy. Seriously, ask anyone that knows me well. As a kid, every time the power would go out I would be SO happy because it meant candles, board games, and cuddling up in the flickering light - almost like magic. Not gunna lie, this time it caught me off guard while I was having a bath and reading a book. But hey, when do you ever expect it? So I scrambled out for a light and ended up having a really great night! Yup, even Chad enjoyed himself. 😜 . And honestly, it was so inspirational for me. We lit candles around the house, had the fireplace going and listened to Zeppelin. We went out to look at the stars and WOW was the sky ever clear! 💫🌖 . So here’s my inspirational takeaway from those quiet, peaceful hours. I am going to learn how to play “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” by Led Zeppelin on 🎸 by the end of the year. I’m announcing it here so now I have no choice. Cause you know, sometimes you let yourself make excuses and let life get in the way. Not anymore! I plan to live more in the present and do more things I love in this new decade we’re approaching (Fun fact: I used to play guitar for 6 years, but let it slip away in the recent years - no more). Seriously.. somebody ask me at the end of the year and the answer will be hell yeah I can play it! 💥 . What are YOUR thoughts... 🤔 Do you like blackouts? Or do you have a forgotten talent you’d like to get back in touch with?
Bad tan lines means fun was had somewhere under the sun, so I’m all for it 🙌🏻🌞
I didn’t get a chance to go this year... so I’m already dreaming of next fall! 🤭🍏 . Strolling through an orchard, picking a bright red apple fresh off the tree & taking a bite...🍎 Something about apple picking brings me back to my youth and I LOVE it! Are you with me? 🙋🏼‍♀️ . ✨ Both photos available as prints, link in bio ✨
What’s your biggest accomplishment this year? If you don’t have a solid answer, maybe it’s time to re-evaluate the next month and a half.💡 There’s only that much time left in this DECADE, so let’s finish it off strong. I’m working on some big things before the holidays arrive - including a brand new course launching SOON!! 💸 If you’re a business owner, I urge you to get your name on my list now, so that you’ll be notified when I launch. 😊 Link in bio! . So... back to the original question. What’s your biggest accomplishment this year? 🥂
